The government has made available online resources to allow the populace to take more environmentally sound decisions in their daily lives.  The website http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Environmentandgreenerliving/index.htm provides tips covering a range of topics from waste and recycling, energy and water saving, greener home and greener garden to greener food and drink and greener work, school and community. 

A useful set of topics and worth spending a few minutes browing the site to see what you can do additional to that you do now to reduce further your environmental impact.
