The Old Mill was acquired in April 2005 by JT Group so that its future could be secured. It is offered as a resource for the Go Zero Project. The Mill is in need of major refurbishment which will be completed over time and along sound, sustainable building principles. It will provide a place for education and the demonstration of technologies that will ultimately produce a zero waste society.


Project Overview

A full brief for the mill is being developed; it will complement the existing facilities within the village. A realistic programme might see the design finalised by mid 2006, planning secured by end of 2006 with a start on site date, subject to funding, of Spring 2007. Naturally we will be delighted if it happens faster.

In the meantime, parts of the site are being repaired: a room in one of the outbuildings is now available for fair weather meetings; the two storey modern building will be turned into an office, information resource and all weather meeting room; the side building will become a site office for the development.
