British Gas names energy-wasting towns

Residents of Crawley have been urged to reduce their energy consumption after the town was named the worst in the south-east for CO2 emissions. According to a table produced by British Gas, each house in the West Sussex town emits an annual average of 5,820 kg of CO2, making it the most inefficient settlement in the region, closely followed by nearby cities such as Brighton and Portsmouth.
