Provide a list of actions that will reduce energy consumption.
  • Adequate insulation of the walls and loft is a good cost efficient start, maybe helped by a grant.
  • Replace incandescent light bulbs with energy efficient fluorescent bulbs.
  • Double glazing of doors and windows.
  • Fit curtains over windows and doors to reduce heat loss through draughts.
  • Fit draught excluders.
  • Turn that thermostat down 10C, put on a jumper and save possibly 10% of your heating bill.
